Early Life and Education

Trevor Auburn Wallace was born on December 30, 1992, in Naperville, Illinois, and raised in Camarillo, California. He is of Jewish descent. Wallace attended Adolfo Camarillo High School before enrolling at San Jose State University, where he was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. During his time at the university, he co-founded the Stand-Up Comedy Club, marking the beginning of his journey into comedy. 

Rise to Fame Through Digital Platforms

Wallace's comedic career began on the now-defunct platform Vine, where he gained attention for his humorous takes on retail culture, particularly with his "Life As A Zumiez Employee" series. These videos amassed over 14 million views and established his presence in the digital comedy scene. Following Vine's closure, Wallace transitioned to YouTube, creating viral content that satirized modern culture, including the "AirPods Make You Look Rich" video and the "Kyle" character, which became synonymous with a certain internet meme archetype.

Stand-Up Comedy and Live Performances

Beyond his online presence, Wallace has built a robust stand-up comedy career. He has performed at renowned venues such as the San Jose Improv, Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, and the Orpheum Theatre in Arizona. In 2023, he filmed his debut stand-up special, "Pterodactyl," at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas. The special premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 14, 2023, showcasing his comedic range and storytelling abilities.

Wallace co-hosts the "Stiff Socks" podcast with fellow comedian Michael Blaustein. The podcast, known for its irreverent humor and candid discussions, has garnered a dedicated following since its inception in 2019. Through this platform, Wallace explores various topics, often delving into personal anecdotes and societal observations.

Personal Life

While Wallace maintains a degree of privacy regarding his personal life, it is known that he has been in a relationship with Jessica Lackmayer, a graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business, since around 2020.
